Under the guidance of Sethu sir, a researcher at Foundation for Agrarian Studies, an informative session was conducted demonstrating the ‘R Project for Statistical Computing’. It is a GNU project started in 1993 a free programming language for statistical computing started as a free implementation of the proprietary S language inspired the pandas library in python widely used in data science applications. The participants gained hands-on experience on setting up and using R programming language for statistical computing and data visualization. Other covered topics include Own Account Enterprises(OAEs) which are small, family run businesses in India’s informal economy and Net Accumulated Fund(NAF) and more. The interactive session allowed all doubts and questions to be addressed on the spot. The event had a profound impact. We extend our gratitude to Sethu sir for leading this exceptional workshop and appreciate the club members and participants for their attendance, making this event a great success.
