Kernel panic on boot: run-init: /sbin/init: No such file or directory

hi i’m karthik
can anyone pls help me solving the init file misssing…kernal panic problem
i hav tried all possible methods from google
also tried replacing the init file from other img using live cd boot
didn’t help though…got an error gave up waiting for root device!:point_up_2:
I had the camp distro xubuntu and windows 7 dual boot
Now I can’t find the windows in the grub menu
also recovery mode is inaccessible …

Your entry in fstab (/etc/fstab) is wrong.

Thank you nitesh for ur response, can u pls tell in details how to correct it? I’m not so good at this hav no idea. More over now it’s showing no partition. When checked using disk partition tool live boot I can see a single chunk of free 250GB partition. Is my data lost?
